Regent | 2020 | semi-dry

Wine from the land between the seas. Gently embraced by a light sea breeze, grown in the Holstein hills, matured in our homeland. Limited.

Regent is a 1967 variety developed by the Geilweilerhof Institute in Siebeldingen, Palatinate. This red grape variety is a cross between Diana and Chambourcin. Thanks to its early ripening and high resistance to winter frost, Regent can also be cultivated in rather untypical red wine vineyards. It is also highly resistant to fungi.

Its grapes produce intensely colored, full-bodied wines with velvety tannins and cherry aromas. Regent is also a good choice for a blend with other grape varieties.

Wine from the North? And how!

Nestled in the picturesque hills of East Holstein, our vines thrive on 8 hectares of vineyards. Our south-facing slope, with a 35° incline, captures optimal sunlight, while the surrounding hedgerows and forests provide a protected microclimate. The loamy, sandy soil stores heat during the day and releases it to the vines at night.
Our fungus-resistant PIWI varieties are perfectly adapted to Nordic conditions. They are robust, sustainable, and require no chemical pesticides—a true revolution in viticulture!

PIWI varieties – The new generation of vines

Our PIWI grape varieties stand for sustainability and quality. They are resistant to fungal diseases, require minimal plant protection, and ripen to the highest quality despite limited hours of sunshine. For white wines, we rely on Solaris, Sauvitage, Souvignier Gris, and Muscaris. For red wines, we use impressive varieties such as Cabernet Cantor, Regent, and Cabernet Cortis.
These innovative grape varieties not only make our wines environmentally friendly, but also give them a unique freshness and aroma that delights even the most discerning wine lovers

From the vineyard to the bottle – everything on site

At our winery, we accompany every bottle from the vine to bottling. We handle the entire process with the utmost care: cultivation, harvest, pressing, and bottling. In doing so, we preserve the natural flavors of our wines. Our vegan wine production avoids animal-derived clarifying agents and instead uses plant proteins or bentonite—perfect for those who value sustainability and quality.

Taste and awards – Clear as the North

Our wines are characterized by the clarity and freshness of the North: delicate aromas, fruity notes, and a clean, unfussy flavor. They reflect the uniqueness of our region—authentic, honest, and close to nature.
In addition to the love of our customers, our wines have also received international awards: With prizes ranging from bronze to gold at competitions such as the AWC Vienna, we show that Nordic wine can certainly compete with the big names.
