In the summer, our ponies Peppi, Lima, Zotti, and Anni spend time in the paddock and pasture. During the colder season, they are out in the pasture during the day and sleep in the stable at night. Every few weeks, the horses' hooves are trimmed – something young and old watch with excitement and curiosity!
Pony care in the stable : The four ponies enjoy receiving visitors in the stable or on the pasture.
Trial Riding for Children: Guided pony rides for holiday guests are free and usually offered twice a week. The children help groom and saddle the ponies, which is at least as much fun as the riding itself! Basics of horse care are also taught.
Riding lessons: can usually be booked spontaneously at the riding stables in Eutin-Fissau, 8 km away, Tel. 04521- 2307
Our donkeys
In May, a long-held dream came true and the donkey couple Käthe and Alfred were allowed to move in with us.
At first they were quite shy and watched everything attentively, but now they have settled in well and are happy about every caress.
cats
Our cute cats are usually very friendly and enjoy loving cuddles. But sometimes they need some peace and quiet, and you'll see them roaming around the yard in search of a mouse.
Colorful chicken flock
Have you ever seen chickens laying green eggs? In spring, little chicks hatch, and petting them becomes a real attraction! Collecting breakfast eggs: Your children can check the chicken coop to see if the next breakfast egg has been laid for them.
"The early bird catches the worm" ;-)
rabbit
If parents miss their little ones, the rabbit hutch is always the first place to go! Children often spend hours here watching and cuddling the animals. The rabbit house is located directly in the park and therefore very close to your holiday apartment.
Children can go into the barn at any time and cuddle the animals. Please ensure that gender separation is maintained! Animals living in separate barns must be returned there, otherwise, a shortage of offspring and thus a lack of space is inevitable within a short period of time... ;-)
Heidschnucken
The Heidschnucken sheep are trusting and always happy to receive a visit. If you don't see them around, they will help us diligently maintain the vineyard.
ducks
These cute creatures live in the fenced-in duck pond in the park. Their favorite food is slugs, which often inspires the children to collect them!
With a well-imitated "quack, quack," they happily engage in a duck-to-human conversation...
All our animal residents look forward to your visit!
